Well, I could type in the whole article, but the thing is, it's an
except from a longer interview (30 minutes from a 2-hour interview).
If you send $5 to Industrial Gear, PO Box 747, Landsdowne, PA 19050,
they'll send you a transcript of the entire interview within 6 weeks,
and you can type it up for us. Or call them at 215.552.8805. Maybe
Mike Gear can give someone the whole thing in an ASCII file to upload
here? Hell, maybe he even reads a.m.n. or r.m.i. and will respond to
this himself?

Anyway, here's an excerpt of their excerpt (from Gear Mag, aka
Industrial Gear Magazine, volume III monthly #5, August 1994, p20)

ON THE 'NET
I haven't been on the Internet for months since we became mobile. I'm
still paying to be on in San Francisco which is an Internet address
[referring to the Well perhaps?--payn]. And the whole thing is
intriguing to me. I actually got into heated debates on, of all
places, Prodigy! Which to me is a joke. I logged on to see if anyone
had anything interesting to say, and I found a million bits of false
information about nine inch nails. I actually left a note, but you
can't have any user names there. Your own name pops up. And a million
letters, "You're not Trent Reznor, fuck you!" I actually got kicked
off. I logged on again to see andit said "You have been accused of
using a pseudonym and we don't allow that here." So I was like, "Well,
then fuck it."
